outside The Station
@ 1600 S Roberto Maestas Festival St
Food resiliency is important during these trying times and now is a perfect time to start your own veggie gardens, whether you have a huge garden or just a few pots on your balcony, you can grow your own food. To get you started, we are hosting a FREE community plant and seed swap.
If you have extra seeds or plants (do you really need 23 tomatoes?), please share your bounty!
Drop them off at the tables outside the Station. Set up starts at 9:30 but you can drop them off when you can. Also, you can drop them off anytime before next Saturday at 5919 Shaffer Ave S, just leave them on the front porch and we'll get them over to the swap.
Please label your plants and seeds, you can use paper labels, yogurt cartons, whatever you have on hand. We will have some supplies on hand as well.
Everyone is welcome to take home as many plants and seeds but in the spirit of community, please only take what you need.
- Please be safe! Adhere to social distancing rules during this pandemic. Remember to stay 6' away from each other and don't gather in groups.
- Wear masks and other protective gear.
- Be patient to take your turn. We are all in this together.
Stay safe and well,
Your community garden club
