What: Join us for a work party where we will be picking up trash, weeding, and planting a new pollinator garden. All are welcome, rain or shine! We will provide tools and gloves, dress for the weather. Please RSVP so we can have enough hot cocoa for everyone!
Where: Bayview Triangle (15th Ave S. & Beacon Ave S. by the Shell station)
When: Sunday, December 13th from 10 am - 2pm
Why: Pollinators, such as bees, butterflies, hummingbirds are important to our food system. One of every four bites of food we eat or beverages we drink are directly because of pollinators.
Pollinators, especially bees, are declining. There are many factors but loss of habitat in an urban environment is one. This garden provides a oasis of plants beneficial to pollinators. Thank you to the King Conservation District for providing funding for the plants!
