VENUE CHANGE! Tuesday, Sept 11, 6:30 pm now at Garden House 2336 15th Ave S. Seattle City Council Members will be hearing community requests for the 2019 budget, including a request by Beacon Arts for assistance in preserving our historical Garden House as community space and protect it from development. The property is going on the market this week, it’s crucial that we raise our collective voice NOW and demand protection of this heritage property.
We are having one last Work Party before the weather turns. Sunday, Oct. 8th, we will have the tool trailer out and do some weeding and cleaning. Dress for the weather!
Afterwords the Garden Club will be holding their monthly meeting at Baja Bistro. Everyone is welcome to join us! We had a successful work party on the 10th. We cleared out a lot of cardboard and trash but no needles this time! We deadheaded a most of the plants and we might get another flush of blooms before frost. It's looking a little straggly at the moment with all of the dry weather. But the asters are now blooming, we have two kinds in the garden so keep on the lookout!
We'll be hosting a work party this Sunday, Sept. 10th from 3-6 pm. Everyone is welcome to come help pick up trash and do some weeding. Please bring your own tools, gloves and dress for the weather. Hope to see you there!
Join Beacon Arts and the Seattle Beacon Hill Garden Club for the fourth annual Pear-a-dise on Sunday, August 13th, from 1-5 pm! We will be sharing pear recipes and treats, arts & crafts, and lots of family fun. New this year, Two of Wands weaves dance, circus arts and live music pollinated with American craft, folk mythos, and heightened natural imagery. There will be bee costumes!
There are opportunities for local food/gardening groups to have a table at the event. Or if you are interested in volunteering, please email us. Join us for the July meeting of the Garden Club! We will be meeting on Tuesday July 18th at 7 pm. It will be hosted in one of our member's gardens, please RSVP for directions. On the agenda, we will be finalizing details for Pear-a-dise on August 13th and our field trip on July 22nd. Everyone is welcome to attend!

Hello! A little update on the Pollinator Garden at Bayview Triangle. We had a very successful work party with volunteers from El Centro, Comcast, and Trees for Seattle. Thanks to all who braved the stormy day and worked so hard . We managed to weed and plant about 90% of the garden before we got completely rained out. Thanks to Metro and Urban Feed and Garden for the beautiful plants. Thanks to Katie from Trees for Seattle who took these photos and led the work party. It truly takes a community to make things happen. Stay tuned for our next work party date and enjoy the new plants when you walk by.
