You may have seen our new seed library up and running just outside the Station coffeeshop on 16th Ave S. Now is the time to start ordering seeds for the library and our Garden Shares for next year. We would love to know what kind of seeds you are looking for. If you can take just a few minutes to fill out the online survey we will have a better idea of what our community wants to grow.

Our new Little Free Seed Library is open for all. It's located just outside The Station Coffeeshop on 16th Ave S. There's room for gardening books on the top two shelves. Seeds, plants, pots and small tools can go on the bottom two shelves. We hope this becomes a well-used resource for our community!

Saturday, May 16th, 10 am  - 4 pm
outside The Station
@ 1600 S Roberto Maestas Festival St

Food resiliency is important during these trying times and now is a perfect time to start your own veggie gardens, whether you have a huge garden or just a few pots on your balcony, you can grow your own food. To get you started, we are hosting a FREE community plant and seed swap.

If you have extra seeds or plants (do you really need 23 tomatoes?), please share your bounty!

Drop them off at the tables outside the Station. Set up starts at 9:30 but you can drop them off when you can. Also, you can drop them off anytime before next Saturday at 5919 Shaffer Ave S, just leave them on the front porch and we'll get them over to the swap.

Please label your plants and seeds, you can use paper labels, yogurt cartons, whatever you have on hand. We will have some supplies on hand as well.

Everyone is welcome to take home as many plants and seeds but in the spirit of community, please only take what you need.
  • Please be safe! Adhere to social distancing rules during this pandemic. Remember to stay 6' away from each other and don't gather in groups.
  • Wear masks and other protective gear.
  • Be patient to take your turn. We are all in this together.

Stay safe and well,
Your community garden club

Bayview Work Party Update

9/17/2017

We had a successful work party on the 10th. We cleared out a lot of cardboard and trash but no needles this time! We deadheaded a most of the plants and we might get another flush of blooms before frost. It's looking a little straggly at the moment with all of the dry weather. But the asters are now blooming, we have two kinds in the garden so keep on the lookout!
