Pear-a-dise 2017
The Beacon Hill Garden Club in partnership with Beacon Arts celebrated the pear harvest with the third annual Pear-a-dise. This event starts several weeks beforehand with volunteers gleaning fallen pears from the Garden House lawn. They turn those into yummy treats to share at the event including pear sorbet and salsas. It culminates by inviting our neighbors in to pick pears, share recipes, and learn more about gardening. Water balloons, a wading pool, and pear people fun for the little ones (and the kids in all of us). Gentian Circus graced us with a fabulous performance, complete with bee costumes. All in all, a great day of and fun!
